The Final Solution: 1941-1945
The collection of motion picture documentation on the Final Solution includes authentic vintage non-fictional film records, produced by many sources, including German, Austrian, Polish, Soviet, Czech, French, British and American visual materials. Included in the collection are newsreels, documentaries, home movies, etc. This collection only those visual records pertaining to the Final Solution, which was the monstrous plan to exterminate all Jews in Nazi-occupied Europe.
Construction of Auschwitz-Birkenau [c. 1942]

German documentation on the construction of the infamous Auschwitz-Birkenau murder factory of the Third Reich which was perhaps the most notorious of all architectural structures created by Nazi Germany. Depicts scenes of Himmler arriving at newly constructed camp complex, conferring with SS camp personnel, including Rudolf Hoess, camp commandant as well as other cronies. Himmler is shown general construction of the complex, including crematoriums the Germans used in an attempt to hide the incriminating evidence from Soviet liberators.

Official SS film "documentary" on the deportation and persecution of Polish Jews as captured thru Nazi cameras as it actually happened shocking the entire world. Depicts authentic scenes of oppression of the Polish-Jewish population during the German occupation from 1939-1941, which includes vicious anti-semitic atrocities . These dramatic events were but a twisted prelude to the Nazi nightmare itself once the Jewish population of Poland had been deported to what would become for many innocent human beings their final destination in the gas ovens of Auschwitz-Birkenau.
State Funeral of Reinhard Heydrich [C. 1943]

Nazi propaganda film produced for the occasion of the State Funeral of dreaded Reich Protector of Bohemia-Moravia on June 9, 1942 whom had been wounded in an attack by the Czech resistance who had launched the sudden onslaught against the sinister hangman had been carried out on May 27th the same year. The assassination operation, known as Operation Anthropoid was composed of Czech soldiers who were prepared and trained by the British Special Operations Executive known as the SOE with the approval of of the Czechoslovak government-in-exile, led by Edvard Benes. Depicts authentic scenes of Heydrich's funeral held in Hitler's Chancellory in Berlin. Contains policy speeches by Hitler, Goering, Himmler and Goebbels.
