Ghettos: 1939-1945

The following collection chronicles the history of motion picture film documents produced on Jewish ghettos in the east, including, Lodz, Warsaw, Lublin, and others in Nazi occupied Europe during the Holocaust. The collection constitutes rare German archival film footage composed of so-called "official films" to home movies taken by the oppressors themselves in Poland.

Warsaw Ghetto Uprising [c. 1943-44]

Historic documentation on the history of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising during 1943-44 in which the tragic fate of the ghetto and its brave and courageous fighters succumbed them in the end which resulted in the destruction of ghetto, although the ghetto fighters' brave courage stands as a testament to the bravery of those engaged in the battle against oppression.
